Strategy 3 Tactics
Web and PC-Based Solutions for Any Training Need
Strategy 3 Tactics provides expertise and resources for developing tactical simulation technologies, web-based support portals, and more. Founded on staff with years of experience in the field of strategic and tactical games and simulations, Strategy 3 Tactics excels at the development of TDS (Tactical Decision-Making Simulators), using the “serious games” development model of adapting consumer software tools for military use. Strategy 3 Tactics recently acquired CSO Simtek which has been developing training simulations for a variety of elements of the US armed forces. Strategy 3 Tactics, previously known as CSO Simtek, has a proven track record with the United States Marine Corps, the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Military Academy (Australia), among others. Products and simulations developed by Strategy 3 Tactics staff include:
- VBS2-US Army Web Portal - Providing a resource library, knowledgebase, support helpdesk, and more, the VBS2-US Army Web Portal is used throughout the US Army as the go-to hub for training and information for the Army's premiere PC-based training simulation, VBS2.
- Close Combat: Marines 4 (CCM4) – Building on the success of previous iterations of Close Combat: Marines, the USMC uses CCM4 to train officers in tactical decision-making through the guided use of CCM4 as a training tool and an accompanying course handbook which reinforces lessons taught by instructors.
- Close Combat: Anti Terrorism (CCAT) – CCAT models the intricacies of tactical engagements in asymmetric warfare, adding “soft” factors to tactical engagements such as civilian psychology and elements of guerrilla warfare. Features include: Search and seizure operations with civilian AI that dynamically reacts to player actions, and disguised Suicide bombers and IEDs coupled with search and seizure techniques to combat these factors.
- Close Combat: Joint Tactical Air Controller (CCAT: JTAC) – CCAT modified to include call for fire protocols taught in JTAC training programs. CCAT: JTAC includes in-depth and very realistic model of standard operating procedures for Marine JTACs to provide trainees with excellent learning and repetition opportunities in a TDS environment.
